Berlin Zoo

t opened in 1844, was flattened during war, then rebuilt to what it is today. Covering 84 acres it is the most visited Zoo in Europe. I’m not normally one for Zoo’s, however Berlin is one that is actively works with with many universities, research institutes, and other zoos around the world. It also leads European breeding programmes, helps save several endangered species, and participates in several species reintroduction programs.
