Lesbian and Gay City Festival
The registered society Regenbogenfonds e.V. has been organizing Europe's largest queer festival in the area bounded by Motzstrasse, Eisenacher Strasse, Fuggerstrasse and Kalckreuthstrasse since 1992. With more than 450,000 visitors, the 20,000 square metres around Nollendorfplatz are one of Berlin's favourite party quarters at the festival weekend.
The festival provides dozens of information booths and market stalls, a wide range of culinary treats, performances and exhibitions curated by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender groups as well as extensive information about LGBT culture in the world of sports, film, and politics, and about HIV and AIDS.
