The Berlin Web Week is a one-week festival on current trends in digital industry and society. Every May, the Berlin Web Week pools numerous events around the subjects internet, digital industries, technologies and digital media – and turns Berlin into an international gathering place of the digital world.

The Berlin Web Week will take place from 5th till 10th May 2014 for the 7th time and includes international conventions, BarCamps, trade shows, pitches, hackathons, matchmaking dinners, parties and meet-ups. Some of the highlights in 2014 are the digital convention re:publica (6th till 8th May), the trend convention NEXT Berlin (5th till 6th May), the media congress Media Convention (6th till 7th May)  and the developer convention droidcon Berlin (8th till 10th May).

The Berlin Web Week is a gathering place for key decision-makers, users and personalities from the world of internet: entrepreneurs, founders, technology enthusiasts, bloggers, web activists, hackers, developers, inventors, designers, media representatives, marketing agencies, start-ups, medium sized enterprises and global players as well as investors, incubators and sponsors.

The Berlin Web Week is the largest festival of the digital scene in Europe. In 2014, we are expecting over 15,000 visitors from all over the world.

As a joint platform, the Berlin Web Week also brings the internet scene of the capital under one umbrella in order to position Berlin as an important location for new web trends and digital technologies both nationally and internationally. The goal of the individual events is to make Europe’s digital scene more visible, to shape and to advance it. The digital capital Berlin sends out groundbreaking technological and creative impulses every year.

The Berlin Web Week is a joint initiative of the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research of the state of Berlin and Berlin Partner for Business and Technology.
